Whilst visiting Bali last week I spied new signs on street corners that I had not previously encountered. I have translated the sign to mean in case of tsunami this way is uphill. However, I did note that you would have to run quite some distance before you gained any altitude, nor could I find any subsequent signs guiding you any farther.

Interestingly, my hotel (which was right on the beach) had no advice to guests on what a tsunami warning would sound like nor any information on what to do.
